LOCAL RACE RULES - ALL RACE MEETINGS To protect the track and ensure great racing for all competitors the following LOCAL RACE RULES will be enforced at ALL race meeting at RACEWAY 81. These rules apply to ALL SCALES AND CLASSES. 1) The Spur or Crown Gear MUST NOT protrude below the base line of the chassis. 2) When measured on a Flat Block, with guide and braids fitted, the clearance under the FRONT of the chassis must be 0.7mm MINIMUM 3) During Practice, racers should take GREAT CARE when placing & removing cars from the track on the rostrum. Cars will be coming through the banking flat out ! ONLY remove cars / replace cars when cars on adjacent lanes are not going to be affected! 4) During races, cars may only be removed / replaced on the track by the Turn Marshal on the BRIDGE, in the marked area. The Turn Marshal will give you or a mechanic the car and will replace it on the track. 5) Cars without sufficient ground clearance to negotiate the banking will be removed by race control and racers will have to replace rear tyres of sufficient size during race time. A minimum of 0.4mm is recommended at all times during the race. 6) Conduct rules apply at ALL times! ENJOY YOUR RACING!
Also, in line with the BSCRA Council decision at the 2010 Loughborough Nationals to ban “treated production chassis in 1/24th scale production racing” The following applies to all such races at Raceway 81 ;- Any post manufacture treatment of the chassis pans or centre sections by the application and addition of Chemicals, elements or gasses, by or in combination with soaking, heat or electrical current is expressly forbidden. Any chassis found to bear the marks of such treatment on any surfaces of said components shall be disqualified from racing.
