C.A.F. BLOWOUT OCTOBER 10TH & 11TH

The very first “October Fest” meeting at Raceway 81 saw 31 racers arrive from around the country (and even one from Germany) to compete over 4 race classes with a total of 101 race entries over the weekend.

Work at the raceway had been intense over the previous week to extend the mezzanine pit area in order to comfortably accommodate the racers.

Catering was available throughout the entire meeting thanks to the valiant efforts of Mark Wattam & helpers, producing various toasted sandwiches, the now famous Canadian Steak sandwich and home made pies etc.

The majority of classes raced featured sub classes for different motor categories, allowing racers to compete irrespective of race budgets.

Friday evening and Saturday morning practice sessions saw visiting racers gradually getting the right setups (with various tips from local drivers to help out) and racing commenced with 1/32 Scale Sports. The following results and photos tell the story.

The members and Committee of Raceway 81 would like to take this opportunity of thanking all the attending racers, many of whom had long journeys to come and compete at the event.
