The British D3 Race Series is a two race series, one race at Wellingborough and one race at Raceway 81.
Both races will run to the same rules and format and the Victor Ludorum award will run across both events.

Cars may be built to D3, IRRA or CSCRA rules

Classes raced in D3   
1) Can Am
2) Formula One /Indy
3) Saloon
As D3 racing is governed by a number of different rule books, we intend to make the races as inclusive as possible,  leave the politics behind and RACE! Therefore racers may appear with cars built to D3, IRRA or CSCRA rules.

Prizes at the event will be for the first 3 overall in each race class + Concours in each event.
Victor Ludorum points will be a combination of completed lap scores and Concours points.
Concours voting will be by individual racers scoring each car from 1 -10.All Concours points count towards Victor Ludorum.

Irrespective of which rules you race to;-
1) Laser and EDM / Machine cut brass components are allowed in all classes
2) Rear Motor/axle brackets may be 1 piece folded or 3 piece soldered brackets made from Brass only.
3) The Following additional bodies are allowed in Can-Am ;-
JK 7081  TI22, JK 70811 TI22 Short, JK 7086 Ferrari 612, JK 7089 Ferrari 312, JK 7090 Lotus 40,
JK 70871 McLaren M8A
5) The Saloon class will be for 4” and 4 1/2” cars.
4) Ground Clearance rules;- cars will be measured on a flat block with a recess for the Guide and braids,
Minimum front ground clearance under front axle (wheel to wheel) 0.015”  (K&S wire size)
Minimum rear ground clearance under rear axle (wheel to wheel) 0.047” (K&S wire size)

Event Entry fees;-  £10 per class or all 4 classes for £30  (under 18’s half price).

The entry price for the entire weekend (£30) includes the barbeque on Saturday evening. Racers only doing 2 classes or less, or spectators who wish to join us for the barbeque may do so for £5.

Race format ;- all races  - dependant on entry, but planned for 1 minute qualifying all laps to count, then 6 x 3 minute segmental races, win from any  segmental race. If entry is unexpectedly high, some D3 F1 heats may run on Saturday evening to ensure a 5pm finish on Sunday.
